The Bachelor of Technology (Computing Studies) program is designed to give you a foundation in computer programming and information technology fundamentals, while also providing you with the opportunity to study outside the realm of IT and to gain a range of general business skills.
This innovative degree is taught online to allow you to immediately apply what you are learning.

Open Universities courses are offered in specific study intakes every year, known as Study Periods or Sessions. This means more flexibility as you can choose when to start studying.
If you are studying undergraduate units you can start at the beginning of any of the four Study Periods each year, each lasting 13 weeks.
Exams are usually held in the week following the end of each Study Period or Session.

The Bachelor of Technology (Computing Studies) degree covers a range of topics in information technology and related fields, and conforms to the Australian Computer Society accreditation standards.
This degree equips you with the necessary education and training for employment in IT fields such as frontline support and system administration, as well as other fields that require IT experience, such as marketing, advertising and accounting.

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.
