This Computer Professional Education Program through Open Universities Australia has been developed to give you the education to match your previous ICT knowledge and training. This accredited program is offered at postgraduate level as a pathway to professional level certification.
Studying this certification program will give you the skills and training to be able to analyse user requirements and provide advice on scope and options for operational improvement. You will also learn how to develop risk management plans and comply with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as professional codes of ethics standards and practice.
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for this program:
Have an ACS accredited degree in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) or equivalent with 18 months relevant work experience.
Have an Australian bachelor degree or overseas equivalent and a minimum of five years relevant experience, with the last two years working at a level 4 (of 7) of the Skills Framework for the Information Age.
Have an Australian diploma in ICT or overseas equivalent with a minimum of six years relevant work experience.
Have one of the following vendor certifications: MCSE, MCSD, CLP and CNE gained from 1997; CDE, Master CNE, CNI, CCE and OCM gained from 2004; MCPD and MCITP gained from 2007, with six years relevant experience post-certification, with the last two years working at level 4 (of 7) of the Skills Framework for the Information Age.
Have English language competency.
At the time of enrolment, be in ICT-related employment.
