About this unit

Navigating the world of new and emerging technologies can be daunting; however, failing to be an ‘early adopter’ can potentially lead to business ruin. This online unit will teach you how to monitor the market for new technologies, assess their business potential, and leverage these innovative tools for organisational success.

The unit looks at a broad range of tools, including hardware, software, communication technologies, products and services. You will learn how to assess their relevance and potential as ‘business enablers’ – not only from a profit perspective, but also in terms of sustainability. The unit will also teach you how to promote awareness of new and emerging technologies among staff and management.

New Technology Alignment is a 14-week unit provided by Open Universities Australia and the Australian Computer Society.
