About this unit

Offered by the Australian Computer Society through Open Universities Australia, Risk Management: Professionalism and Compliance is an online unit that will take you through the a practical framework for ethical, professional and legally compliant ICT professionals to work effectively and appropriately in modern workplaces.

You will learn to apply concepts and analysis processes relevant to IT professionals working in commercial and non-commercial businesses and organisations, covering topics including the client/professional relationship, risk management frameworks, privacy and confidential information, and how governance differs from management.

This unit will give you the skills required to work in IT teams in a diverse range of workplace environments, including small businesses, international corporations, or local, state or federal government departments, in order to deal successfully with risk and comply with the expectations of a range of stakeholders.
