About this unit

During this online Open Universities Australia and Macquarie University unit, you will develop several areas of Spanish language skills. You will be expected to develop your reading skills to a point where you can understand short, simplistically worded texts.

You will also be encouraged to work on your listening and speaking skills during Introductory Spanish II. You will develop the aural comprehension skills necessary to understand people, as long as they are speaking slowly and clearly, and using high frequency vocabulary. You will be able to respond in structured scenarios and short conversations. You will be expected to give a short presentation of simple concepts, such as daily routines or likes and dislikes.

When developing each of these skill areas, emphasis will be placed on the words which are used most frequently in written and spoken Spanish.
