Applied Contract Law is an online unit offered by Open Universities Australia in association with Curtin University. In this unit you will study the formation, negation and operation of business contracts.
You will study both the role and structure of a business contact, including boilerplate and common clauses, risk management and termination clauses and the type of contract remedies and the ways disputes may be resolved.
You will gain an understanding of the principles of contract law relevant to the creation and use of a contract.

When you have finished your studies in this unit you will have proficient understanding of the principles of contract law and how to form, insert clauses within, and maintain legally binding contracts.
You will be familiar with standard contractual clauses and be able to apply this knowledge to business scenarios as well as being aware of the risks inherent in negotiating, making and managing business contracts.
You will also be able to make business directed communication directly relevant to contract law.
