About this unit

This online Company Law for Business unit is a convenient way to familiarise yourself with company law and give your career a competitive edge.

Ideal for lawyers, company accountants and business professionals alike, the unit is designed to provide training across the various elements and facets of company law.

Delivered by Open Universities Australia in partnership with Curtin University, the unit covers everything from the types of business structures and the doctrine of legal responsibility through to more nuanced issues such as corporate fundraising and share capital, and the legal rules regarding shares and dividends.

Students will learn the context of company law, and be trained to understand how the law affects everything from the company’s structure and stakeholders through to scenarios of insolvency and deregistration.

Students should also note that this unit is fully accredited by both the CPA and ICA.
