Environment and Planning Law Practice is an online unit provided by RMIT University and Open Universities Australia. It explores international, federal and state law concerning natural resources and the environment, with a particular focus on regulation.
You will also cover planning issues relating to local and state authority regulations regarding planning, as well as the ethical issues involved in practising law in environment and planning areas.
Finally, you will evaluate the lawyer’s role in facilitating the protection of the environment, promoting law reform and designing urban environments. By the end of the unit you will have developed a deeper understanding of a lawyer’s obligations relating to natural resources, and will be able to critically examine law reform options.

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.
