Fundamentals of Contract Law from RMIT University is a unit that gives you experience with legal documents used to seal agreements in a broad range of settings. The unit, offered online by Open Universities Australia, builds on the concepts explored in the Introduction to the Australian Legal System and Legal Methods unit.
As a student in this program, you will study the history and theory behind Australian contract law. Along the way you will analyse past documents that have shaped the way agreements are drafted today. Then you will learn just what is required to devise a contract that satisfies national law.
By the end of this unit you will be prepared to take Advanced Contract Law. You will also develop better legal research and writing skills.

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.
