Supply Chain Design and Management explores the real life conditions and obstacles which affect the design and management of modern day supply chains. Delivered by Open Universities Australia and the University of South Australia, the online unit will equip you with the knowledge and skills relevant to a career in supply chain design and management.
This unit will mentor you through identifying possible problems and areas for improvement in real supply chains. You will explore issues surrounding logistic systems, vendor selection, inventory planning, intra-facility logistic design and transport.
You will be provided with the tools and strategies to address common issues faced within supply chain design and management. To solidify your ability to answer these issues professionally, you’ll also run through a number of ‘what if’ scenarios.
Finally, you’ll learn to design your own supply chain incorporating realistic size, time and industry constraints and conditions.
