European Management (Study Tour France) is an online unit provided by RMIT University and Open Universities Australia that is designed to equip you with the cross-cultural awareness and business acumen needed to live and manage a business in Europe.
The unit consists of a week-long study tour of Europe organised by academic staff from École de Management in Grenoble, France. During the tour you will gain an appreciation of the challenges of running a business in a European context, and will learn specific knowledge from a range of industry guest speakers.
In particular, the unit aims to deepen your understanding of cultural norms and etiquette in a specific European country, particularly focusing on leadership and management approaches and how they differ from Australian organisations. You will also explore the European Union and consider how business practices are enacted across diverse member states, and evaluate its social and economic nature. Finally, you will evaluate the relationship between Australia and the European Union.
Applicants should note that they will be responsible for organising and paying for their own travel arrangements to ensure they are in Grenoble on the specified starting date.
