This online Operations Management unit from Open Universities Australia and RMIT University introduces students to the processes involved in the manufacturing industries and service sector.
The unit teaches students the ins and outs of designing and managing operations, inventory management, long-term, intermediate and short term planning, and quality management in a range of contexts. Students are encouraged to develop critical thinking skills in order to evaluate fundamental processes in the performance of a factory, as well as debate contemporary issues in operations management.
This rigorous unit prepares students for a career in operations management, from logistical considerations to material and distribution processes and implications, analysis, evaluation and teamwork skills.
