About this unit

This Software Engineering Project Management unit will teach you the basics principles in managing engineering software projects, with course material presented via Open Universities Australia in conjunction with RMIT University. You will gain a basic foundational knowledge of how to successfully participate in a team and see a project through to its conclusion.

You will also learn how the IT industry works, and you will be equipped with essential skills required for when you do enter the IT workforce. You will be able to plan and develop projects and know how to use the various tools required for this.

You will understand the need for correct processes and procedures to guarantee good outcomes in the engineering software field.

It’s recommended that you have completed the following units, or have equivalent knowledge:
