Derived from thousands of years of ancient Chinese medicine, the holistic practice of reflexology is now utilised to successfully treat all manner of ailments. Combining hands-on practical components and comprehensive theory, AIAS's Diploma of Reflexology (HLT52515) will equip you with professional skills in this increasingly popular massage modality, and set you up for success.
Learn how to apply and treat a variety of conditions by pinpointing ailments with gentle massage. As part of the reflexology philosophy, different parts of the body have corresponding areas located on the feet. By stimulating these areas of the foot, this practice aims to promote wellness in multiple parts of the body.
As part of this qualification, you'll be given the option to undertake an elective stream in either business or aromatherapy, depending on your career goals. Gain a basic understanding of the therapeutic applications of essential oils and aromatherapy products, or learn the fundamentals of small business marketing and finances in order to grow your own business - the choice is yours!
Flexible online study or blended delivery (online and on campus) means students have the freedom to fit study around their busy lives.
As part of your studies, you will need to complete 250 hours of practical work placement. Students who choose to study elective aromatherapy will also need to complete an additional 70 hours of work placement at an AIAS campus.
You will be required to supply a current Working with Children Check and/or National Police Check prior to undertaking your placement.
