About this course

The Certificate III in Aged Care offered by Open Colleges , in partnership with Integrated Care Management Training (ICMT) will give you the skills to turn your passion for helping others into a viable profession. Studying this course will give you the knowledge to provide physical, social and psychological support for the elderly as well as people with intellectual disabilities.

You will be trained to work in community settings, including hostels and group homes. You will learn how to harness your empathy to maintain the well-being and independence of the elderly.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this course you must have:

  • Completed the School Certificate or equivalent

OR

OR

  • Relevant vocational experience.

Practical industry work experience

This online course includes mandatory work placement. Workplace assessments and training must be undertaken in workplace organisations that are suitable for the course. You will be required to undergo a criminal check before commencing practical placement.
