This Bachelor of Nutrition course will help you turn your passion for nutrition and health into a rewarding career.
The course is delivered by Torrens University in partnership with SEEK Learning, and covers the nutritional needs for populations on a global scale as well as understand the nutritional needs of the individual human body.
The course will help you develop a strong foundational set of skills, enabling you to critically analyse and develop robust health programs that address global nutrition issues. From anatomy and physiology to chemistry and human pathophysiology, you will cover a range of subjects to give you a thorough understanding of nutrition and the human body. You will also have the opportunity to target your education by choosing specialist units to study.
As a student of Torrens University, you have the option to undertake a work placement for one day a week, over 12 weeks with one of Torrens's partner organisations as part of this course.
To be eligible for this course, you must meet the following requirements:
Have an ATAR score of 70 or equivalent; OR
Have a GPA of 3.5 in a scale of 7 through study with another university; OR
Have a Special Tertiary Admission Test (STAT) rank of 155

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.
Instead, the Australian government will pay your course fees on your behalf. You’ll begin repaying your loan through the tax system once you start earning more than the minimum threshold of $54,869 (2016-17 income year).
