About this unit

Project Management, an online unit provided by Open Universities Australia and Curtin University, gives you an overview of the entire project management process: how it’s defined, the tasks that it’s comprised of, and the attributes required to be an effective, and successful, project manager.

The unit covers far-reaching applications of project management, including planning, time management, risk management, cost management and human resources management; five elements that will always be required when managing a project, whether you’re in charge of a new build, a scientific experiment or a business expansion.

Project Management is assessed in three ways. Two assessments each provide 40% of your overall mark, while a test, worth 20%, is also required.

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.

Instead, the Australian government will pay your course fees on your behalf. You’ll begin repaying your loan through the tax system once you start earning more than the minimum threshold of $54,869 (2016-17 income year).
