Learn the key skills and theories involved in Project Planning and Control during this online unit from Open Universities Australia and the University of South Australia. In it, you will learn to recognise engineering problems, and be prepared to produce a project plan in order to solve them. You will also develop the ability to evaluate the economic parameters of problems in order to identify the best possible approach for a project.
During the unit you will become capable of implementing essential business functions, including budgeting and scheduling, and will gain an awareness of the importance of working within real-world constraints, which are often interrelated. You will become competent in providing reliable estimations of timeframes and costs.
You will gain an appreciation for the salience of monitoring the progress of a project, and will become familiar with a variety of methods for doing so. You will also discuss control during the final stages of a project, and will learn about successful project completion and termination.
