This unit, from Swinburne University and Open Universities Australia, will provide you with an introduction to modern cognitive psychology. In Cognition and Human Performance you will learn the history of psychological thought and how modern cognitive psychology was developed.
By studying this unit, you will learn the major methodologies used in modern psychological practice. In particular, the unit will introduce you to the practices of neuroscience, cognitive science and psychological therapy.
Upon completion of the course you will be proficient at discussing and analysing psychological texts and theories and gain the confidence to apply these ideas to everyday life and psychology practice.
