About this unit

Multivariate data is a common result of studies across all kinds of subject areas from science to psychology to economics, and involves the application of statistical techniques that can deal with multiple intersecting factors.

If you’re conducting your own studies or preparing data for future analysis, then this online unit is a fundamental requirement for you. The unit continues on from prerequisites in bivariate statistics and will introduce you to techniques such as multiple regression and factor analysis, as well as MANOVA, ANCOVA or log-linear modelling.

Once you have learned to screen your data and analyse it using these multivariate techniques, you will be taught to turn your results into a clear and professional report.

The unit is taught in a user-friendly way that does not rely on mathematical expertise, but does require knowledge from previous statistics units.

Delivered online by Open Universities Australia in partnership with Swinburne University, this unit of study is a core requirement of the Bachelor of Behavioural Studies (Psychology) course and an approved elective of the Bachelor of Behavioural Studies at Swinburne.

Eligibility

You cannot enrol in this unit if you have successfully completed the following unit, because they are considered academically equivalent:
