This online Psychology of Health unit from Open Universities Australia and Swinburne University of Technology critically investigates the major issues affecting today’s society, and teaches students the theory, methods and practices necessary for attaining a sophisticated understanding of health psychology.
Using a scientific and research-based approach, students will gain a high level of knowledge about health beliefs and illness cognition, learn how to analyse health issues and identify how to achieve behavioural change.
Once completed, students will also be able to locate, organise and synthesise a broad range of information, effectively evaluate research literature and develop scientific writing skills – essential to any health or psychology profession.
