After successfully completing this Psychology of Trauma unit from Open Universities Australia and Swinburne University of Technology, you will be able to understand the diagnostic process of acute stress disorder (ASD) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and analyse and appraise the key theoretical models of traumatic responses.
You will also be able to distinguish and describe pathogenic responses from post-traumatic growth.
Key skills obtained will also include the ability to analyse and distinguish theoretical terms and critically evaluate psychological interventions in trauma using the most up-to-date research findings.
