About this course

The Bachelor of Science (Applied Sciences) program offered by RMIT allows you to explore the molecular level of living systems from which you can devise practical solutions to important problems. Bioscience and biotechnology are shaping today's environment and food supply, ensuring that all living things can survive and live more safely.

Drawing on core science areas such as genetics, biological chemistry and microbiology, this degree is taught by researchers at the leading edge of industry practice. This Bachelor of Science (Applied Sciences) degree is designed for those who wish to pursue careers in biological sciences and also provides a biology specialisation for aspiring teachers.

Please note: some units require students to attend laboratory session at the Melbourne campus.

You may be eligible to receive FEE-HELP for this course!

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.

Instead, the Australian government will pay your course fees on your behalf. You’ll begin repaying your loan through the tax system once you start earning more than the minimum threshold of $54,869 (2016-17 income year).
