This Calculus and Matrix Algebra unit from Open Universities Australia and Murdoch University teaches students to sketch, differentiate and integrate functions, and to understand their application.
At the completion of this unit, students will be able to solve differential equations, understand their derivation and basic application, and solve higher order differential equations, and understand how they arise in practice.
Core competencies also include deriving series representation for basic functions using Taylor series, as well as understanding eigenvalues and eigenvectors and applications in modelling.
You will also be able to use level curves and level surfaces to represent functions of several variables.
