About this unit

By studying this online unit in Energy Policy with Open Universities Australia and Murdoch University, you will learn all about how energy policy is conceived, formulated and applied to the industry at large from governmental and other institutions.

You will learn the factors that influence decision making processes when it comes to policy development, and be equipped with the skills needed to evaluate the effectiveness of policies and rethink how policy design can be improved to better meet goals. The unit will also examine the effects of and reaction to these policies, allowing you to distinguish between good and bad energy policy.

Particular attention will be paid to policies regarding fossil fuels, renewable energy and nuclear power.
