About this unit

In Insurgency and Non-State Security Challenges, a postgraduate online unit delivered by Macquarie University, you will examine insurgency and the various forms it can take.

You will look at why insurgencies occur, the social and political context of insurgency, and the different responses and ways of dealing with insurgency taken by various nations.

You will also look at issues such as narcotics, arms and human trafficking and modern day maritime piracy and the contemporary issues and conditions which drive such activity.
