This online Global Tourism Futures unit offers you the opportunity to explore contemporary issues in tourism and the future of the tourism industry. Particular emphasis will be placed upon how the industry is likely to influence and be influenced by the four elements of the PEST framework, namely political, economic, social and technological factors.
Undertaking this unit will help you to develop an appreciation of the bidirectional links between climate change and tourism. Your understanding of the role played by advances in technology will also develop, particularly with regard to technological progress relating to transport.
