Delivered by Line Management Institute of Training (LMIT), the course is comprised of five core units that cover everything you need to know about WHS systems from consultation and participation processes through to investigating WHS incidents and developing WHS management systems.

You can also choose between two elective streams such as general management systems and frontline management to help you specialise your technical expertise. The general stream builds on your foundational knowledge of WHS best practice, while the frontline management stream also deals with managing contractors in line with WHS guidelines.

The course is delivered entirely online, so you can study at your own pace, and fit study around your schedule.


To be eligible for entry into this course, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Completion of all core units in Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41415); OR
  • Provide evidence of equivalent competencies

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) may be available for skills and knowledge obtained through previous study or other relevant experience.
