About this course

If your role involved coordinating the work health and safety (WH&S) program in your company then validate your knowledge and skills with this Diploma of Work Health and Safety (BSB51315) delivered by the Line Management Institute of Training (LMIT).

This course consists of a pre-course workbook and a 5-day face-to-face workshop where you will participate in teams to develop a sound knowledge base and specialised skill set in workplace health and safety. You will receive your workbook at least 30 days before the workshop, and you should allocate approximately 24 hours of accumulated study to work through the 80 questions in the book.

The course content covers key learning areas that include managing WH&S risk, investigating WH&S incidents, developing and implementing WH&S management systems and monitoring workplace emergency procedures and equipment. A simulated workplace will give you the hands-on skills to be able to transfer your learning to real world scenarios.

Eligibility

To be eligible for entry into this course, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Complete all core units in the Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (BSB41415) or equivalent competencies

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) may be available for skills and knowledge obtained through previous study or other relevant experience.
