Risk can affect organisations in many forms, both internal and external, and requires a strong and specific skill set to manage effectively. This unit teaches students how to establish a risk context, identify risks, analyse risks and select and implement appropriate treatments.
More specifically, students will learn how to review organisational processes, review policies, identify an organisation's strengths and weaknesses, obtain support for risk management, use tools and techniques to identify and assess the likelihood of risks, evaluate and take the appropriate course of action for treating, monitoring and evaluating a risk management plan.
