Offered by Australian Catholic University through Open Universities Australia, this online unit will introduce you to a range of occupational health, safety and environmental hazards relevant to workplaces.
Expanding on your existing knowledge gained from the prerequisite units, this intermediate unit delves in-depth into specific organisational hazards, including physical, chemical and ergonomic hazards.
You will also explore concepts of occupational health, safety and environmental risk management, and how to assess and control such hazards.
You cannot complete this unit if you have completed any unit deemed academically equivalent.

You will be able to communicate effectively with occupational health and safety professionals, and be able to identify sources of adverse effects on health and environment.
