What you'll learn

About this course

The Master of Arts (Writing) degree, offered by Swinburne University, focuses on a wide range of writing genres. While studying this program and exploring ways of thinking about writing, the units will more than tell you 'how to write'. Students explore creative writing, business writing and professional writing, and study towards a range of qualifications. You can exit the program after four units and receive the Graduate Certificate, after eight units to receive the Graduate Diploma or after twelve units for the Master.

Shorter programs

If you choose not to study the entire Master of Arts (Writing) program you may be able to complete an alternative program. This is beneficial for students who need to develop a specialisation or prefer not to commit to the whole study period. Depending on the units studied, you can exit with a Graduate Diploma of Arts in Writing or Graduate Certificate of Arts in Writing.
