This online Writing and Praxis: Publication Folio A unit from Open Universities Australia and Swinburne University of Technology demonstrates how crucial the planning process is to the creation of, and problem solving for, the production of a major piece of writing.
The development of a work folio begins in this unit and is continued in Folio B, and includes varying approaches to formal academic, creative, and professional writing.
At the completion of this unit, students will have critical insights into the concepts, and theories of the writing process through studying samples of published works.
The unit also develops skills in applying different strategies for planning and problem solving in the production of a major piece of writing, and also allows students to participate in and build an online community of practice with peers and tutors.
