Assistant Manager, Restaurant

Thompson’s Bar and Grill is seeking a skilled and talented person to fulfill the role of assistant manager.
You will support the general manager with the day-to-day operations of this busy venue. Your strong communication and leadership skills will see you effectively support your team of staff to provide top-quality customer service.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- rostering and positioning of staff
- training and development of the team
- invoicing, balancing tills and checking time sheets
- online ordering of stock and regular stock takes
- effectively managing people
- maintaining the service and cleanliness of the bar and restaurant
- monitoring and maintaining company standards.
This position would suit an enthusiastic and motivated hospitality professional with experience within a similar role or someone looking to take the next step up.
We are looking for someone with:
- experience within a service-based industry
- exposure to understanding variances and cost of goods
- the want to generally assist people to have a great experience
- the ability to adhere to guidelines and internal processes
- a hands-on approach.
