If you’re anything like me, any excuse will do to slip into some trusty denim – and what better excuse than Jeans for Genes Day!
Supporting the Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI), Jeans for Genes Day raises much-needed money for research into birth defects and diseases such as cancer and epilepsy.
The stats are pretty high: one in 20 children is born with a congenital abnormality or genetic disease, meaning over 12,000 children are affected each year.
Relying solely on community support, CMRI aims to give every child the opportunity to live a long and healthy life. That’s even more reason to dig deep and join them in their stance against childhood disease.
So squeeze into your faded blues, or dust off your Canadian suit and wear your jeans not only for comfort but also for a good cause this casual Friday.
Every dollar raised on Jeans for Genes Day, Friday 2nd August, will help scientists at CMRI fund their research. Click here to find out more.
