The search is on for six lucky job-seekers to secure one of Tourism Australia’s ‘Best Jobs in the World’.
The dream jobs on offer include a park ranger in Queensland, a taste master in Western Australia, a wildlife caretaker on Kangaroo Island, a chief funster in Sydney, a lifestyle photographer in Melbourne and an outback adventurer in the Northern Territory.
Only a matter of days remain for applicants to bag themselves one of these sought-after positions, along with an alluring salary package worth $100,000.
The competition has been revived following the success of Tourism Australia’s previous campaign to find a caretaker for Queensland’s picturesque Hamilton Island.
Ben Southall, the enviable Brit who took out the 2009 competition, reluctantly farewelled his post after six months of snorkelling, eating and relaxation.
‘Unfortunately for me, my time is up. But luckily for the world, ‘The Best Job in the World’ is back. This time there’s not one, but six amazing jobs in Australia up for grabs’.
With such an appealing prize pool, it’s no surprise that the competition received more than 130,000 applications within 72 hours of opening.
Hopeful candidates must submit a 30-second video profiling the reasons why they should be hired. As always, creativity and a demonstrated appreciation of why ‘there’s nothing like Australia’, will be most highly regarded.
Hurry! Applications close 10 April 2013.
