Sub Lieutenant Maneckji Gazdar - Weapons Electrical Engineer Officer, Australian Navy

Sub Lieutenant Maneckji Gazdar is an Assistant Weapons Electrical Engineer in the Royal Australian Navy. Serving on HMAS Newcastle Sub Lieutenant Gazdar takes care of weapons onboard including guns, missiles and torpedos. He has specialised in microelectronics engineering designing integrated circuits.

‘The best part about the navy is uncertainty; you don’t know what’s going to happen, anything can pop up anytime,’ he says.
