Dear Ms Jones

Re: Hairdressing position

Please accept my application for the role of full-time hairdresser as advertised recently on seek.com.au.

I have a Certificate IV in Hairdressing from Launceston TAFE and am currently completing a Diploma of Hairdressing Salon Management. I have over six years experience within the industry and my professional skills include hair care and styling, business operations, sales, training, cosmetics and color mixing. I have performed haircuts and styles on men, women and children.

I won the Launceston Hair and Flair Awards three times and was named NSW Hairdressing Apprentice of the Year in 2002. I was awarded second place in the Australia-wide Cutting Edge Competition in 2006 and have received two commendations in other years. For your interest I have included photos of the styles for which I have won awards.

I am creative, artistic, a quick thinker and ambitious with a strong work ethic and have exceptional interpersonal skills. I am excited at the prospect of joining the stylish hair team and believe my skills and attitude can make a significant contribution.

I look forward to meeting with you and discussing this opportunity further.

Yours sincerely
