I suppose the fact that I spent three uni summers checking that marks on students’ exam papers had been added up correctly might have been an indication that I had a fairly good eye for detail.

After doing an extra Master’s year at uni because I didn’t know what I wanted to do, I got a job as a publishing assistant with a music publishing company in London. One thing led to another and, by the time I left that company to move to Australia, I’d progressed to music editor.

My husband and I arrived in Sydney in December 2006, and soon after this I was lucky enough to find Career FAQs. I’m enjoying using my red pen on words rather than musical dots and the Sydney lifestyle isn’t bad either!
