About this course

The Certificate III in Business Administration, delivered by Benchmark College, is a pathway to a career in the business administration environment. It provides students with a sound knowledge base and allows them to develop and practise key skills in business administration.

You'll develop a range of skills, from speedy and accurate typing to schedule organisation and document creation. You'll also learn about the importance of health and safety within the workplace environment and delve into key areas such as customer service, innovation in a team environment and sustainable work practices.

The course consists of two core units and a range of electives covering a variety of key skills for different business administration roles. Assessment methods vary from written case studies and scenarios to practical demonstration of skills.

This course has flexible delivery options;

  • School-based Traineeships - which allow year 10, 11 and 12 high school students to commence or complete a traineeship at school.
  • Employment-based Traineeship - all training and assessments are conducted in the workplace so that you learn on the job in a practical and relevant way.

To be eligible to study this course, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:

  • Candidates must have a Unique Student Identifier; AND
  • Candidates must complete a LLN quiz upon entry.

Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a Certificate III in Business Administration from Benchmark College.

Graduates will be prepared to pursue a variety of careers in a business administration setting, from client-facing positions such as reception through to in-house accounts and data entry. Graduates may also choose to pursue further study, such as the Certificate IV in Business, Certificate IV in Business Administration or other relevant Certificate IV qualifications.
