Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Business from Western Sydney University.

This degree will equip you with the skills, knowledge and experience required to seek work across a range of roles in both scientific and commercial fields. After completing this course, you'll have the opportunity to seek employment across a range of academic and professional disciplines, and may choose to work a research, leadership or analysis role for a private firm, government, or a not-for-profit organisation.

Your chosen field will depend on your area of study. With this degree, you'll have the opportunity to study a broad range of subjects, including chemistry, mathematics, data, biology, economics, financial management, marketing, human resources management and strategic planning. You'll straddle the line between science and commerce, and bring a strong understanding of the principles of each field to the other.

Depending on your major, this course may be eligible for professional accreditation. The Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) is accredited by The Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI).

How Much Will It Cost?

Western Sydney University offers flexible payment options for students.

If you are an Australian citizen, you may be eligible to receive a government HECS-HELP loan, meaning you can defer payment of your fees. Alternatively, you can pay your degree fees upfront.

HECS-HELP You may be eligible to receive HECS-HELP for this course!

This course can be paid for through the HECS-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, you may not need to pay upfront.

Instead, the Australian government will pay your course fees directly to the provider on your behalf. You'll begin repaying your loan through the tax system once you start earning more than the minimum threshold of $45,881 (2019-20 income year).
