About this course

The Certificate III in Hospitality from AA Poly enables people already working in hospitality to take their skills to the next level. Students will build a strong foundation of knowledge and develop practical skills through on-the-job training to help them succeed in the industry.

As a Certificate III in Hospitality student, you'll cover all areas of the industry - from front-of-house and customer service skills, to food and beverage preparation, to training and managing staff.

The course is designed to be completed while you continue to work full- or part-time in your current hospitality role. You'll attend campus once a month, perform fortnightly online tasks, and be assessed on practical aspects in your workplace.

Eligibility

To be eligible to study this course, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:

  • Applicants must already be employed in a full-time or part-time role in a caf, bar, restaurant, winery, hotel, bistro or fast food outlet.
  • All applicants must complete a pre-training review and a language, literacy and numeracy assessment.

Career outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course you will receive a Certificate III in Hospitality from AA Poly.

This nationally recognised qualification enables you to work in a variety of roles within the hospitality industry, such as a bartender, waitperson or function host. Graduates also have the opportunity to puruse further study with a Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or a Diploma in Hospitality.
