Ready to kickstart your management career in the hotel or tourism industry? The International Hotel & Tourism Management Program from The Hotel School is the ultimate study package, incorporating a diploma qualification and paid internship experience!

Throughout this two-year full-time program, you’ll cover all the key areas of tourism and hotel studies. You’ll be studying units in the theory and practice of food, beverage and wine service and management, cost control, finance, technology, hotel operations and organisational practice, and more. You’ll build on these theoretical foundations with 880 hours of paid internship experience with businesses in the AccorHotels group – meaning that by the time you graduate, you’ll have the skills, knowledge and real-world experience you need to succeed in modern hospitality and hotel management.

Accredited by Southern Cross University and delivered through The Hotel School, this course has been developed in partnership with HTMi Switzerland and AccorHotels. The program will see you graduate with a Diploma in International Hotel and Tourism Management and extensive on-the-job experience. From there you can pursue supervisory or management positions within the industry, or continue on to further study with 18 months’ credit towards a Bachelor of Business in Hotel Management. The opportunities are endless!


To be eligible to study this course, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:

  • Have completed Year 11 and be at least 17 years old; OR
  • Be a mature-age student without the minimum education requirements but with relevant work experience.

In this tourism course, the subjects you may study include:

  • Module 1 – Introduction to Tourism and Hospitality Practice
  • Module 2 – Expenditure and Organisational Management
  • Module 3 – Finance, Marketing and Operations for Food Service
  • Module 4 – Hotel and Resort Management
  • Industry Internship 1 – 440 hours
  • Industry Internship 2 – 440 hours

Where Will It Lead Me?
