An introduction to information technology, this course suits both students without a computing background, and those who’d like to formalise their existing experience with a recognised academic qualification. This industry-relevant qualification will equip you with essential skills in IT – including in development, software analysis, database management, information retrieval and web technologies.

Developed in consultation with the IT industry, this qualification will equip you with the essential skills, knowledge and experience required to work in IT, or help you develop a comprehensive theoretical foundation to complement your existing skills and experience. In addition, you’ll learn how information technology relates to and enables the operation of everyday business operations –  giving you relevant, useful and practical skills for helping people and businesses.


To be eligible to study this course, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline; OR
  • Have at least two years (or part-time equivalent) of relevant work experience; OR
  • Demonstrate evidence of academic capability.
