Eligibility

To be eligible to study this degree, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:

  • Bachelor of Computer Science (or an equivalent Information Technology degree) with a GPA of 4.5; OR
  • Relevant work experience of at least three years in Computer Science or Cyber Security roles; OR
  • Diploma or above in networking and IT plus 2 years relevant work experience.

To excel in the applied nature of our cyber security postgraduate programs, all our students require some experience with a programming language. If you don’t have this experience, we offer the course Foundations of Computer Science – Python A in place of Political Institutions and Policy-Making. Our friendly admissions team will guide you through the enrolment process once your application has been accepted. 

In order to study with the University of Adelaide, you must be proficient in speaking, listening, reading and writing in English as this is the language of instruction.

The total cost for this degree is $41,976.

FEE-HELP is available for this degree to eligible Australian citizens. Please contact the University of Adelaide for more information.

FEE-HELPYou may be eligible to receive FEE-HELP for this course!

This course can be paid for through the FEE-HELP government loan scheme. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, you may not need to pay upfront.

Instead, the Australian government will pay your course fees directly to the provider on your behalf. You'll begin repaying your loan through the tax system once you start earning more than the minimum threshold of $46,620 (2020-21 income year).
