About this course

The Certificate IV in Warehousing Operations, offered by Benchmark College, is a key qualification for those wishing to work in the warehousing and storage industry. It prepares students to carry out operations in the warehousing environment, including evaluation and and analysis of current practices; development of new criteria and procedures for performing current practices; and providing leadership and guidance to others.

You'll begin by learning the basics of work health and safety procedures, legislation, regulations and workplace procedures, and workplace orientation/induction. You'll then move onto specific elective units, which may range from forklift operation to team leadership to transport, regulation and monitoring of various stock types.

The course consists of three core units plus 18 elective units, with a large range of subjects to choose from to suit a variety of job roles. A range of assessment methods are used to test students' skills and competencies. This course is a traineeship, with all training and assessment conducted in the workplace, so that you learn on the job in a practical and relevant way.
