You may choose to study in specialised areas such as palliative care, orthopaedic care, rehabilitation, respiratory care, or caring for people with conditions such as diabetes, dementia or disability. If you choose to complete a bachelor's degree and work as a registered nurse, you'll have the opportunity to work in a specialised area of medicine, and build on the unique skills developed during this advanced diploma course.

You'll also have the opportunity to develop leadership and patient management skills, equipping you with a broad skillset for working in a hospital, clinic or community care setting.

Eligibility

To be eligible to study this course, applicants must meet the following entry requirements:

  • Be currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia; AND
  • Hold a Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled/Division 2) or equivalent.

Candidates will satisfy numeracy and English requirements by providing evidence of their qualification and registration status.

A Pre-Training Review will also be conducted to assess prior education, knowledge and industry experience as well as confirm literacy and numeracy requirements.
