With an ageing population, the demand for skilled individual care staff is on the rise in Australia, and this course is specifically designed for people looking to excel in the fields such as caring for the aged, people living with disability and people requiring social support.

By teaching you crucial skills in the field such as how to use communication to build relationships, how to communicate and work in health and community services, how to support clients’ independence and well-being, how to support people living with dementia and how to manage legal and ethical compliance, this course will equip you with all the tools you need to become an excellent performer in provision of individual-based services in a myriad of government, not-for-profit and private community care organisations.

Armadale (day classes available)

This qualification has a minimum work placement component of 120 hours.

Eligibility

There are no formal academic entry requirements for this course.

Students will need to provide their Unique Student Identifier (USI) which we can assist with, photo identification and meet the language, literacy and numeracy requirements.
