Career FAQs would like to thank everyone who contributed to making the launch of our latest book, Transport & Logistics, a huge success.
The event, which was organised by Queensland Transport, was held on 6 May 2008 at Aviation Australia at the Brisbane International Airport.
Gary Fenlon MP, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Transport, Trade, Employment and Industrial Relations, officially launched the book.
‘This book is a very exciting and important achievement for the transport and logistics industry, particularly as the first resource of its kind for the industry in Australia’ he said.
‘It represents the positive collaboration and partnerships between the Queensland Government and industry. It aligns strongly with our Smart State vision, educating people about the industry and promoting career paths, which will help to alleviate the skills shortage we currently face.
‘Career FAQs Transport and Logistics will go a long way in dispelling some of the myths and stereotypes that surround the industry and opening the doors for prospective employees to a fast-growing, innovative industry with hundreds of exciting job prospects in Queensland, across Australia and globally.’
Will Santow, Managing Director of Career FAQs also spoke at the event.
‘This official launch of Career FAQs Transport & Logistics – the 45th book in Career FAQs’ leading series of Australian career guides – is a tribute to the transport and logistics industry, which has worked collaboratively to address a shared concern, namely the skills and labour shortages,’ he said.
Transport & Logistics is one of three latest releases from Career FAQs. Property and Crime Fighters are also now available.
