The Bachelor of Technology (Information Systems) program recognises the ever-changing nature of the workplace and the business-critical importance of technology-related disciplines which now pervade every aspect of modern business life. As such, the study of information systems and supporting technologies is vital for any student entering the business world.

Open Universities courses are offered in specific study intakes every year, known as Study Periods or Sessions. This means more flexibility as you can choose when to start studying. If you are studying undergraduate units you can start at the beginning of any of the four Study Periods each year, each lasting 13 weeks. Most postgraduate courses are offered in three Sessions per year, with each Session lasting 14 weeks. Exams are usually held in the week following the end of each Study Period or Session.

This course can be paid for through the HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP government loan schemes. If you are an Australian citizen or hold a permanent humanitarian visa, this means you don’t need to pay upfront.
